NIS will continue to monitor the main problems of rural schools

At the republican conference “Bilimdi urpak - Bilimdi el”, Chairman of the Board of the AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" Anuar Zhangozin focused on 4 main issues regarding rural schools. He also shared the results of monitoring rural schools in accordance with NIS international standards.
– Based on the results of our research, we identified 4 key problems that are typical for many rural schools. These are issues of insufficient level of subject knowledge and methodological competencies of teachers for effective planning and delivery of lessons. Problems of ineffective student assessment. Insufficient use of information and communication technologies in the educational process. And an insufficient material and technical base,” noted Anuar Zhangozin.
Research has shown its effectiveness in introducing the NIS methodology into rural schools. Each school receives methodological support in accordance with its capabilities and needs.
NIS experts conducted input and output monitoring to assess the educational achievements of students in grades 4 and 8. The significant gap between the current school assessment and monitoring results ranged from 3% to 33%. All this indicates incorrect assessment and inflated school grades in almost all schools.
