The secondary school named after Kadyr Myrza Ali, which is more than a hundred years old, has become a support school in the national project of the Foundation “Qazaqstan Halqyna”.
The Safonov rural school in the remote Kurmangazy district of the Atyrau region has been completely transformed. 27 classrooms are equipped with modern equipment, these are classrooms for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Steam, Robotics, Computer science, a television studio and an Art studio, students will enjoy workshops, interactive whiteboards, sports equipment, and musical instruments.
Akim of Kurmangazy district Marat Murziyev, director of NIS in the city of Atyrau Yrali Bizhanov, head of the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Education Daniyar Tokhtarbayev, head of the Atyrau Regional Methodological Center Dana Baimashova congratulated pupils, teachers and parents on the big event.
“All conditions have been created for both children and the teaching staff, for our main goal - quality education,” admitted the school director Sabyrzhan Zhupargaliyev.
As the general partner AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools", from the first day of the project began systematic work on the professional development of teachers and providing methodological support to the entire teaching staff; when modernizing the school, the recommendations of NIS representatives were taken into account.
– All opportunities are provided for the full 100% support of the educational process, as well as the development of practical skills of students. A psychological office, Steam laboratories, and workshops for girls and boys are especially needed. This is certainly a great joy for the school staff. We provide methodological assistance and are committed to long-term cooperation,” emphasized the director of the Intellectual School in the city of Atyrau, Yerali Bizhanov.
The children's delight knows no bounds; they find it a joy to work on the new equipment.
– I’m glad that such different sewing machines came to school. We get to know our classmates about the structure of the device, how to use it, and learn to draw patterns on various fabrics”, - said Zhazira Sabitova.
The main mission of the project is to bridge the gap between education in the city and rural areas, the Foundation "Qazaqstan Halqyna" emphasizes. Operating expenses aimed at equipping 17 rural support schools across the country were covered by the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education.
– Within the framework of the tripartite agreement signed in July 2022 between the AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools", the Foundation "Qazaqstan Halqyna" and the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Education, work is also underway to improve the qualifications of employees, organize training courses and seminars for teachers. Methodological support is provided by NIS. For the next three years, we set the goal of turning a rural school into a center of quality education that unlocks the potential of children”, - said Daniyar Tokhtarbayev, head of the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Education.
