Teachers from 12 rural schools in Aktobe region completed an internship at NIS
From September 18 to 22, 2023, teachers from twelve rural schools in the Aktobe region completed an internship at Nazarbayev Intellectual School in the city of Aktobe. They had previously completed advanced training courses. Today, teachers completed an intensive four-day internship filled with various interactive sessions prepared by NIS speakers.
On the basis of the Aktobe branch of NIS, trainings on subjects were organized, including the updated curriculum, as well as courses on criterion-based assessment, digital literacy and educational work. The trainers prepared a program that included training in new teaching methods, working with diverse students and using modern educational technologies.
At the master class the teacher of the Intellectual School reminded us of old but true teaching methods. We figured out how to use them in a new way. Colleagues gave us clarification on current topics – formative, criterion-based assessment, work sequence. I think that all the teachers who came from twelve districts of the region were able to get answers to their questions, since at the seminar we received the knowledge that we need for daily work,” said Gulnara Idreshova, a teacher at the Khromtau school.
The internship took place as part of the social project “Capacity development of rural schools,” the main mission of which is to help reduce the learning gap between urban and rural schools.
