On November 2, 2023, the opening ceremony of the international scientific and practical conference “Prosperity of rural schools is the key to the well-being of society” of AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" was held in the capital.
The large-scale event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duissenova, First Vice-Minister of Education Natalya Zhumadildayeva, Chairman of the Board of AEO NIS Anuar Zhangozin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the public fund “Qazaqstan Halqyna” Lyazzat Chingisbayeva, Director of the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education Daniyar Toktarbayev.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duissenova, in her speech, spoke about the programs implemented in the field of education in recent years, and also wished success to the project for the development of rural schools.
– In order to improve the quality of education, the experience of the best schools in the country is being extended to other educational institutions. It is based on the project “Capacity development of rural schools”. Currently, 80 schools are participating. At the second stage, about 200 educational institutions will be covered,” noted Tamara Kassymovna.
Chairman of the Board of AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" Anuar Zhangozin noted the importance of the large-scale conference, which was attended by more than 330 rural teachers, and thanked the partners for supporting the implementation of the project at the national level:
– The two-day International Conference is of particular importance. Indeed, during the event, speakers will share methods related not only to educational issues, but also to issues of the educational process and the well-being of students. Since this academic year, the project has closely linked Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and 80 rural schools. Today's event is a continuation of this work.
At the gala event, First Vice Minister of Education Natalya Zhumadildayeva noted that the project “Capacity development of rural schools” is necessary for society:
– In Kazakhstan there is such a strong institution as Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, where the best pedagogical practices are concentrated. The Intellectual schools share the same experience with rural schools. Similar conferences will continue. Currently, about 2,400 teachers have improved their qualifications as part of the project. As a result, the level of professional confidence of teachers increased by 15%, and the performance of students in support schools increased by 38%.
– Today, the Foundation "Qazaqstan Halqyna" is implementing 9 charitable projects in the field of education. The Foundation supports projects in the field of education, creating conditions for obtaining quality education, investing in childhood. We believe that, regardless of where they live, every child should have equal opportunities to learn here and now. This is evidenced by the project implemented jointly with the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education and AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” emphasized Lazzat Chinkisbayeva.
It should be noted that on the first day of the conference, foreign and domestic experts in the field of education presented their research and reports, such as Professor of the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge in the UK Colin McLaughlin, Honored Teacher of Kazakhstan Kulyash Shamshidinova, Executive Director of the Council of International Schools (CIS) in the Netherlands Jane Larsson , founding CEO of the Anglian Learning Multi Academy Trust in the UK Keith Evans, Lithuanian psychiatrist, certified transactional analysis therapist and crisis management expert Darius Radkevicius and cartoonist and designer from Norway Oystein Christiansen.
