August Conference – 2026!
August Conference of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO – 2026
On 19–20 August 2026, participants will gather in person at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Science and Mathematics in Kostanay. From 21 to 25 August, the conference will continue online, bringing together teachers, school leaders, and specialists from across all branches of the NIS network.
This year's conference theme is “The Inquiring Teacher as the Driving Force of Quality Change”. The conference places the spotlight on the teacher as an agent of change, highlighting their professional journey, growth through reflective practice, and active engagement in professional communities.
The conference programme is structured around several key themes, including the development of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), shaping and reflecting on the profile of the modern educator, and supporting continuous professional development. Participants can look forward to keynote sessions, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and NIS Talks, where teachers will share their personal experiences, professional challenges, and the stories behind their achievements.
Special emphasis will be placed on the exchange of best practices, collaborative problem-solving, and the development of a shared vision for future priorities. The conference will provide a platform for open dialogue, critical reflection on teaching practice, and the strengthening of the professional learning community. We are confident that these sessions will inspire new ideas, foster professional growth, and generate collaborative solutions to support the continued development of the NIS educational ecosystem.
The conference will conclude with a set of agreed approaches and strategic priorities that will guide the work of the NIS network throughout the 2026–2027 academic year.
Sincerely,
Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO
