news
Regional seminars for teachers from flagship schools in Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions were held at NIS in the cities of Atyrau and Aktobe within the framework of the project “Capacity development of rural schools”.

At the master classes and trainings of the Center for Educational Programs on the formation of functional literacy of primary school students, the formation of digital literacy and research skills of schoolchildren, the development of communication skills and aspects of CLIL, more than 450 teachers received detailed answers to all their questions.

Participant of the two-day seminar, Nurgul Yeleussinova from the school named after M.S. Babazhanov, Bokeyorda district, West Kazakhstan region, shared her impressions:

– I believe that the main mission of the seminar, aimed at developing the potential of rural schools, has been accomplished. We did laboratory work aimed at developing the scientific and natural literacy of students in Chemistry according to the international PISA studies, and analyzed tasks for the development of competency skills. The long journey was justified, and we return full of new information.

The experimental and practical part gave a special impetus to the seminar participants. It is worth noting that since 2020, AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” has been implementing the educational project “Auyl mektebi”, which is aimed at improving the quality of education in rural areas. As part of this program, 17 schools joined the project in 2022 and 63 this year.

The charity project has become an open dialogue platform for launching systemic changes in the entire school community and is designed to provide a positive effect on the development of the secondary education system and bringing rural schools to higher positions in the country’s educational rankings.
