NIS virtual school started its work
On October 9, the NIS Virtual School for the students of grade 6 began operating.
The virtual school is a free educational platform for preparing students of grades 5 and 6 for competitive selection to study in grade 7 of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools under the “Orken” educational grant.
Curriculums in the subjects “Mathematics”, “Kazakh language”, “Russian language”, “English language”, “Natural science” of the Virtual School provide an opportunity to increase the effectiveness of learning, develop the necessary skills and increase motivation and begin preparing for admission to NIS.
Upon completion of training, you must complete assignments to consolidate the topics covered and pass the final test remotely in online format.
Students who score 50 percent or more of the maximum score on the final test are invited to the Vacation School at the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools for full-time classes during the holidays.
During the period of operation of the NIS Virtual School, 22,949 students from secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan were trained, and 4,574 (20%) students successfully entered Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, having received the Orken educational grant. More than 11,000 Virtual School participants were able to reach the threshold score and continue their studies at the Vacation School in their regions.
Registration for the NIS Virtual School for the students of grade 6 from secondary schools in the country is carried out until December 18, 2023.
