Teachers from rural schools got acquainted with books by domestic and foreign authors

news
At the international scientific and practical conference, which brought together more than 330 rural teachers across the country, a presentation of books by domestic and foreign authors took place.

Conference participants took part in the presentation of the book “Mapping Educational Change in Kazakhstan” edited by honorary professors of the University of Cambridge Colin McLaughlin, Liz Winter and Natalia Yakovets. Research work covers all stages of reforming the Kazakh education system.

– This is a large research work in collaboration with the best Kazakhstani experts in the field of education, so it deserves the attention of every teacher who is ready for development and change. The book describes the experience of the NIS project, which is an important stage in the development of education in Kazakhstan. It seems to me that NIS has taken a unique step in the history of national education - it has formed a culture of learning and research, “Introducing successful reforms in a short time,” said Colleen McLaughlin.

Chairman of the Board of AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" Anuar Zhangozin focused on the significance of the work and invited all teachers to read the book:

– Unfortunately, the country’s secondary education system lacks research and, accordingly, proper understanding. Therefore, this book has a special practical value, it allows every reader to read, reflect and take bold next steps.

The educators Duyshon Shamatov and Aigerim Aliaskar presented the book “Bilimge Kushtarlyk”. The work describes the daily work process of teachers, difficulties and main problems. Duyshon Shamatov, who has many years of experience in the educational field, noted that the book paid more attention to reforms, emphasizing that teachers need to be given time to master the programs. He also believes that teachers need more research to become professionals:

– We say that there is no respect for teachers in society. We become authoritative only when we ourselves grow professionally and expand our knowledge. Work occurs only when there is a desire to quickly master any changes. In my book I tried to explain this to my colleagues. In addition, I talked about how the reforms will affect the education sector.

There was also a presentation of the book “Barsa Kelmes: The Nomads Return” by the author of the first Kazakh novel in English, Gabit Bekakhmetov.

The author, having visited different countries and often visiting remote schools, noted that existing problems also exist in developed countries.

It is worth noting that next month the work “Ships of Knowledge: NIS, BIL, RPMS” in the language of Gabit Bekakhmetov will be released.
