Teachers of Nazarbayev Intellectual school in the city of Kyzylorda visited 3 rural schools
As part of developing capacity of support schools in rural areas, teachers of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Kyzylorda provide methodological assistance to teachers in the Aral, Zhanakorgan and Karmakshy districts.
At the beginning of the year, the NIS team conducted an analysis of the educational process and quality of teaching at school-lyceum No. 62 named after Z. Abdirashov, school-lyceum No. 250 named after T. Komekbayev and secondary school No. 286, where they identified the needs of teachers. Based on the results obtained, a plan for on-site training courses was developed.
On their next visit to rural schools, NIS teachers conducted workshops, training seminars and consultative meetings with colleagues. In practice, they showed how to effectively conduct criterion-based assessment and summative assessment in subjects, and told how important it is to use a differentiated teaching method in the classroom. Teacher-curators spoke about educational projects and forms of work with parents. In addition, methodological assistance was provided in the use of modern equipment in STEM classrooms and Science and Mathematics laboratories, which were modernized as part of the project to support rural schools.
During the visit, meetings were also held with 6th grade students and parents on the competitive selection of students for 7th grades of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools for the 2024-2025 academic year.
