Teachers of Bashkortostan got acquainted with the experience of NIS

One of the problems of the national regions of the Russian Federation is the extinction of the native language. How to stop this trend and still master the English language? School directors and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan flew to Astana to gain experience.
In Kazakhstan, the issue of preserving the native language was also very relevant at one time. Thanks to the measures taken, the situation is improving every year. More than half of the children study in Kazakh schools. Over 75% of students this year took the UNT in the state language. In Nazarbayev Intellectual schools, education is traditionally conducted in three languages: Kazakh, English and Russian.
There are simply no subject teachers teaching in English. For us, this is a problem squared, admits Ildar Murtazin, director of the Neftekamsk Polylingual Multidisciplinary boarding chool.
– At the same time, thanks to the support of the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, we are able to popularize our native language. This process goes through culture. So, the popular singer Zainetdin came to our school, he noted.
It is worth noting that this school collaborated with NIS in the city of Aktau. Thanks to this visit, the school hopes to give new impetus to cooperation.
– The first thing that surprised me was the large number of male teachers. This is an important educational moment especially for boys. Secondly, it is the active participation of parents. I learned that you have the “Strong Family” and “Parent University” programs, says Elvira Mukhamedyarova, director of the Polylingual Multidisciplinary School No. 9 of the Uchalinsky District.
The guests were concerned about many issues, one of them was the risk of “brain drain”. After all, NIS students speak English and are superior in knowledge to their peers in Britain and Singapore. The Chairman of the Board of AEO NIS says that there is no need to be afraid of this.
– Of our school’s graduates, only 1.5% work abroad. For example, one of them is in Range Rover in Britain. The automotive industry is actively developing in Kazakhstan and its experience will be in demand, noted Anuar Zhangozin.
Guests from Bashkortostan got acquainted with the exhibition of commercial projects of the NIS Centers and the Beyim educational platform.
As a result of the meeting, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Republican Polylingual Multidisciplinary Gymnasium No. 1 and the NIS of Physics and Mathematics in Astana.
