Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Monika Iversen met with NIS representatives

In Astana, the Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics was visited by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kazakhstan Monika Iversen and the head of the cultural department of the Embassy Mechthild Sasse.

The Embassy representatives got acquainted with the school, visited the NIS HUB techno-torium, the library and classrooms. It is noteworthy that most of the excursion was conducted by NIS students who spoke the Ambassador's native language.

Chairman of the Board Anuar Zhangozin introduced the guests to the ecosystem of the Intellectual Schools, the capabilities of the unique NIS-Programme curriculum and the NIS Grade 12 Certificate, recognition of the graduate certificate by German universities, educational work and the activities of the centers. During the meeting, an overview of the development and achievements of relations between the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools network and Germany was also given, including cooperation with the Institute for Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance ACQUIN, the "Partner Schools" project, obtaining the DSD language diploma and the process of teaching German in schools.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Monika Iversen thanked the representatives of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools for the warm welcome and said that she intends to further expand cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and NIS.
