Professional development course on "Leadership and school management” took place at the University of Sussex (UK) from 11th to 23th of November 2013 as part of an internship program for senior leaders of branches of AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual schools".

The first phase of the course took place at the AEO branch, Physics and Mathemeatics Nazarbayev Intellectual school in Kokshetau from 18th to 22nd November 2013. The course was organized by AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual schools” with the involvement of International trainers Diederik Schönau, Jesse Koops, Will Knappers from CITO, the Netherlands. The participants of 3 phased-courses were 45 teachers from 15 Nazarbayev Intellectual schools.

The participants of the workshop were the teachers of physics, chemistry, biology of Intellectual schools of Shymkent, Karaganda and Kyzylorda.

       On July 2, 2013 at the University of Sussex began a training program for senior management from 35 basic secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On the 26th of June, 2013, the Planned project of training 70 Head-teachers of Basic Secondary Education Institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan was launched. This is part of a programme of collaboration and sharing experiences between AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" and Basic Secondary Education Institutions.
