In order to encourage creative self-realization and professional growth of teachers, to study and distribute innovative experiences of managers and teachers of Nazarbayev Intellectual schools competition called “Festival of pedagogical ideas” (hereinafter - the Festival) was held on the basis of sanatorium “Alatau” in December from 7 till 8th with the support of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

59 teachers of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools from Astana, Taldykorgan, Aktau, Aktobe, Almaty, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Semey, Taraz, Uralsk, Shymkent, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk participated at the Festival.

The festival is aimed at active and creative teachers who want to share successful teaching experience within the professional community and to demonstrate the results of their intellectual work to the public.

Festival Organization aims to develop communication and other types of competencies, opening creative possibilities of administrators and teachers to work effectively in a mobile learning environment, to improve the methods and teaching techniques, sharing experiences, status enhancement of teaching profession, to support human resource capacity of the modern school, preserving and strengthening the unity of cultural and educational space of Kazakhstan.

The 285 participants took part in the festival from all regions of the Republic. Among the participants were directors, deputy directors, teachers of all kinds and types of educational institutions, tutors and methodologists of preschool institutions, music professionals, teachers of additional education, class teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, methodists of regional centers who work with gifted children.

The festival was held on the following areas:
1) “Management system in education” (director, deputy directors of educational institutions, methodologists of regional centers who work with gifted children, experts of educational administration);

2) “So different are the lessons, but each of them has master’s touch ...” (subject teachers): subjects of natural-scientific field (chemistry, biology, geography, ecology); subjects of physical-mathematical field (mathematics, physics, computer science); subjects of social and humanities (Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages, literature, history, law); subjects of and natural-mathematic field in English; applied cycle (fine arts, physical education, technology, crafts, BMT, arts and crafts).

3) “Creative wave” (elementary school teachers and pre-school, music);
4) “When the lesson ended ...” (class teachers, tutors, teaching staff of additional education).
5) “Psychological piggy bank” (psychologists, speech therapists, social teachers, speech pathologists).

As a result of the festival teachers of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools came back with a victory. Winners of the festival were awarded with the diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as certificates of the MES Republican Scientific-Practical Center “Daryn”.
