From 13 to 16 April 2016 in the town Kaskelen held an international competition in computer projects «Infomatrix-Asia&Pacific», which was organized by the Republican scientific and practical centre "Daryn" together with the University named after Suleyman Demirel.

The main goal of the Olympiad - the identification of gifted students with an interest in robotics, learning and use of modern hardware and software.

The student of the 12th grade  of the "Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics" in Taraz Telzhanov Askhat won the silver medal in the category Hardware Control, by defending the project "A device for detecting obstacles for blind".

Device presented by him is different from others with its small size, availability and cheapness of the materials used. The device allows blind people to navigate in space, namely to determine the existence of material objects around him and approximate distances to these objects.
