To achieve a high quality of educational services and the efficiency of the activities of the Intellectual Schools, special activities are carried out to support children. One of them is the organization of elective courses in the country and abroad in STEM subjects. They have been running since 2010. Over this period of the course, more than 2,000 children took part in it. 

Students who have achievements in olympiads, competitions of scientific projects of students, and showing a positive trend in learning have the opportunity to study subjects in foreign and domestic educational institutions in elective courses.  

When choosing elective courses, attention is paid to its relevance and novelty for students, to the motivating and developing potential. The content of the programs contributes to the intellectual, creative, emotional development of students, involves the widespread use of active learning methods, orientation to modern educational technologies. 

Elective courses are aimed at solving the following problems: 

      –  to contribute to the self-determination of the student and the choice of further professional activity; 

      –  create a positive motivation for learning on the planned profile; 

      –  introduce students to the leading activities for this profile; 

      – to activate the cognitive activity of students;
