Project «Bookcrossing» is a network social action that has been held in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools since 2012 on a traditional basis. Students, teachers and parents take part in the campaign with special activity.

«Bookcrossing» is a gift from the entire school community to secondary schools, orphanages, and Mothers' Homes of art books read by students and other readers. This action is traditionally held annually on the eve of the Day of the First President and the Independence Day of the country.

The aim of the project is to promote reading, increase the child's interest in reading, increase vocabulary, broaden horizons, and critical thinking. Students write short essays, wishes to new readers of the book, reviews of books for their friends. All this is beautifully designed and transferred to secondary schools or orphanages. Students share their worldview about the impact of the book they have read, about how interest in reading has increased, and mark the books they recommend for reading.
