The final stage of the first national Olympiad for rural students "Myn Bala" has ended.

 “Myn bala” is a unique national project of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation within the framework of the Elbasy “El Ymiti” initiative, aimed at supporting and developing children’s talents from rural areas. The project was implemented jointly by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Сorporate fund “Elbasy Academy” and AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual schools”.

The Olympiad was held on the basis of 19 Intellectual schools and in 34 regional centers in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. Students in grades 5 and 6 from more than a thousand rural schools in Kazakhstan participated in the second stage of the Olympiad.

The first stage of the Olympiad was conducted in students’ absence and assessed the academic performance of students in 6 subjects: Mathematics, Natural science, Computer science, Kazakh, Russian and English.

During the second stage, the functional literacy and abstract thinking skills of students were assessed in person.

Based on the results of the testing, 1000 Olympiad winners with the highest scores will be determined.

The list of 1000 students-winners of the Olympiad will be published on the official website of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation www.fnn.kz.
