Due to the transition to a distance learning format in the 4th quarter of the 2019-20 academic year, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools planned to hold a School of Thematic Consultations (hereinafter referred to as the STC) for students in August.
The purpose of this STC is to conduct laboratory works to develop skills in practical and experimental activities, to advise students on the subjects of the educational program in accordance with the needs of students, possible gaps during distance learning.
In connection with the epidemiological situation, according to the decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 03.07. No. 44 introduced quarantine measures, including a ban on events with a large crowd of people and the activities of educational institutions. The end date of the quarantine measures is not final, depending on the situation, restrictions may be extended indefinitely with subsequent gradual easing.
In order to ensure the safety of children and comply with the quarantine regime, it was decided to cancel the STC on the basis of schools in August.
However, in September it is planned to monitor the educational achievements of students in order to identify gaps in knowledge and skills of students based on the results of training in the 4th quarter and provide methodological support to them in the first half of the 2020-2021 academic year.
Based on the monitoring results, each student, parents (legal representatives) will be provided with individual reports reflecting the results of distance learning in the 4th quarters, reports on the progress and quality of students' knowledge at the class level, in the context of subjects and methodological recommendations will be preparedfor teachers and administration of the Intellectual School.
In each school, in order to eliminate the identified gaps in knowledge, skills and abilities, teachers will organize systematic advisory support in subjects in small groups or with each student on individual educational routes, developed taking into account educational needs, the sequence of mastering the components of the educational content, individual abilities and capabilities of students.
