For the first time the representatives of AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools participated in annual CIS Global Forum on International Admission and Guidance. The delegations of more than 800 universities and schools from different countries of the world met in Spanish Bilbao.
The main aim of the International Forum was to provide the platform for communication and networking of universities and schools from all over the world to improve the procedures of student admission to international higher education institutions. While discussing the issues of admission of students it was noted that there is an urgent need to pay more attention to psychological support of students who transit from “learner” to “student” status. At breakout sessions the speakers representing universities and schools presented such topics as, Leadership for Global citizenship, Understanding and evaluation of integrated diploma programs, Accreditation of school, How to best support transit from school to university.
Representatives of AEO NIS jointly with Modul University of Vienna (Austria) and Tashkent International School (Uzbekistan) presented the education systems. Forum organizers noted that the session was one of the most interesting and most attended.
Also, AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools participated at education fair of schools which took place within Forum days. At the fair more than 400 representatives of secondary education from North America, Europe and Asia exhibited information about their schools.
AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools won the photo competition which was launched by CIS during the Forum. The main task was to take a creative photo which represents the country and/or organization. The winning photo was made by the students of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Kokshetau.
