Summer holidays for the NIS teachers of Biology began with a trip to Nur-Sultan. Teachers were invited to the capital by the Kazakhstan office of the UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund).
A topical seminar on responsible relation to health was conducted. Famous experts in the field of population Lyubov Dorozhkina and Mira Sauranbayeva, who have been successfully cooperating with various international projects, including UN agencies, have acted as playing trainers.
- Our task is to educate children responsible attitude to their health, so we have prepared a special course for teachers who conduct relevant disciplines. The pilot version gave good results, so today the project is being scaled across the republic, said the Fund’s executive representative in Kazakhstan, Raimbek Sisemaliyev.
The great interest of teachers was caused by seven main principles of education, in particular, science, visibility and regionality, and such topics as family values, reproductive health, gender equality.
- For the formation of a responsible attitude to health, one must begin by creating an atmosphere of trust between the teacher and the student, in which they communicate as equals, Mira Sauranbayeva is sure.
Today, teachers of the Intellectual Schools are ready to introduce integrated modules in the upcoming school year, interactive methods, all the knowledge and innovations that they mastered at the summer seminar.
